Art and music studios, granny and guest units, outbuildings and sheds. I no longer do as many of these type of projects as I used to from foundation up. Most of the projects I do now are converting and upgrading existing buildings for new use.
Estimating & Installation: Most outbuildings need a plan for permits. We call in the trades needed and go on their estimates to include in the contract. We go through that process with you for a small fee upfront fee, then do a construction contract.
Most home remodels that I take on now are historic restorations and interior upgrades. I no longer do the demo to floor and rebuild or additions but I still supervise those type of projects. That includes being your representative in the field, project management and site scheduling as well as taking on carpentry tasks when required.
Estimating & Installation: Supervising a constuction project is done on an hourly basis. Interior upgrading and historic restorations typically start with a site visit with a rough ball park, and then a construction contract which includes a fee that is partially rebated on start-up.
